Gist: In CH 8 Paul has defined and described a life that is led by the Holy Spirit. Of all the things he talks
about, Paul helps us know a few things. First, the HS aids in what Christians fear doing the most,
praying. Second, that “we know in all things God works for the good of those who love Him” Really, all
things? Then why do we feel helpless when God has the answers? Yes… in all things!

Feeling Helpless? The Holy Spirit translates for the believer.
The Holy Spirit subverts the confusion of many voices to the whisper of One. The Truth.
Predestination is not arrogance, but humility. Not uncertainty – but assurance and protection. Not
robots without choice but chosen. Not smug in doing whatever we please, no! We are aimed at
holiness, conformed to the image of His Son.
Know this! If God is for us, who can be against?
There are a lot of Who but only One True God.
What do you need help with today that the Gospel can’t relieve?
Know this! In Christ, we are more than conquerors!
