Gist: Scripture reports a loving God who continues to be patient and vigilant. Scripture also reports that
mankind, is everything but that. Our hearts are deceived and deceitful, anxious and enamored, we become
weary, lost and daredevils. Augustine penned, “You have made us for yourself O Lord and our heart is restless
until it rests in you". God takes us from “temptation to transformation” in a total eclipse of the heart.
