Gist: Unaware of all their new friend can do on the outside, they are also unaware of exactly Who He
is on the inside. When Jesus reveals Who He is on the inside, the disciples can only tremble face
down. When God reveals His heart to us on the inside, it’s not Him who changes, it should be us from
the inside out.
The One Who is, Who was, and Who is to come.
God’s Word comes with Power – Read between the Lines. Read it again!
“For those whom He foreknew, He also predestined to become conformed to the image of His Son,
so that He would be the firstborn among many brethren;” Romans 8:29
Use the cloud we worry about as God’s reminder to listen to the Son.
“Therefore, since we have so great a cloud of witnesses surrounding us, let us also lay aside every
encumbrance and the sin which so easily entangles us, and let us run with endurance the race that is
set before us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith, who for the joy set before
Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of
God.” Hebrews 12:1-2
What do you see in Jesus that has caused a change in you?
But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed
into the same image from glory to glory, just as from the Lord, the Spirit. 2 Corinthians 3:18
There is a bright future ahead, just keep your attention on Jesus. (God said!)
“Therefore I urge you, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living and holy
sacrifice, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service of worship. And do not be conformed to
this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of
God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect.” Romans 12:1-2
